  2. Call to register for the LEHP program at SUNO. (504) 299-3422
  3. Fill out an application for the LEHP grant and authorize the LEHP to guide you through the home buying process.
  4. Attend evaluation sessions for homebuyer education from one of the LEHP counseling partners to prepare you for a pre-qualified mortgage loan.
  5. Apply for a mortgage from one of the LEHP lenders to get the best possible interest rate and payment terms
  6. Visit the Frenchmen’s Hope model home to choose and customize your Frenchmen’s Hope home.
  7. Execute a purchase agreement on your Frenchmen’s Hope home. Your home will become available in 10 – 12 weeks.
  8. Close on the purchase of your Frenchmen’s Hope home and begin to enjoy the benefits of home ownership.
